The San Gennaro Foundation of Virginia is an IRC 501(c)(3) charitable organization established to uphold the principles of San "Saint" Gennaro, the patron saint of Naples, Italy who worked tirelessly throughout his life to help people in need through acts of generosity and goodwill that define the Italian spirit. The organization is also dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Italian traditions, culture, music, and art.

The San Gennaro Foundation through its major fund raising event, "Festa Vino de San Gennaro", provides charitable grants to individuals and various local and national organizations on a need basis. The organization also provides assistance to local school and educational organizations in support of the Italian language by providing grants in aid and scholarships.
